The Garden

The gardens at Millhayes are a delight. Around an acre in size, with terraces and lawned areas near the house, there are plenty of secluded spots to sit and read, admire the views, or just do nothing. Millhayes is surrounded by a variety of shrubs and traditional cottage flowers and, as a result, there’s an abundance of birdlife.

In such an idyllic setting, al fresco dining is a real treat and there is a large garden table and ten chairs, complete with cushions and parasol.

The views from the house out across the valley are gorgeous. Below the house, the garden slopes down to a largely lawned area with an array of mature trees including a willow, cherry and apple trees. There’s plenty of space for children to explore and invent all sorts of fun and games.
